I.    SCOPE

      This policy establishes the definition of terms used to characterize academic degree and

      certificate programs.

II.   POLICY

      All academic programs must be categorized by program type as defined in Table 18420

      of the Data Element Dictionary.  See Policy 10-02-04, Data Administration.

      Establishing new academic degree or certificate programs requires the approval of the

      Provost.

      Approval by the appropriate Senior Vice President is required for changes that affect

      academic programs within their respective responsibility areas.
