PRISM System Outage: April 18-21

In order to prepare the PRISM System for Benefits Open Enrollment, it will be necessary to take the system off-line according to the schedule below.
From: 5:00 PM, Friday, April 18, 2008
To: 6:00 AM, Monday, April 21, 2008
Please save all work, complete all transactions (including printing and faxing), and exit the system by 5:00 PM Friday, April 18, 2008. Any work or transactions not completed by 5:00 PM Friday will be terminated without notice.

PRISM FAX Server Outage

Facilties Management has scheduled a chilled water HVAC outage for the Cathedral of Learning this evening. In preparation for this outage, it is necessary to take the PRISM FAX Server off-line according to the schedule below.
During this time, the FPOR850 Print Custom PO report will not fax PRISM purchase orders. This is the only functionality in the PRISM System affected by the HVAC outage. Purchase Orders can be created, modified, saved and approved during this maintenance period.

PRISM 2007 Winter Recess Support Hours

Full technical and functional support for the PRISM System will end at 5:00 PM on Friday, December 21, 2007 and resume at 8:00 AM, Wednesday, January 2, 2008. Limited PRISM System support will be available during the Winter Recess according to the following schedule:
Monday, December 24 - Closed
Tuesday, December 25 - Closed
Wednesday, December 26 - 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Thursday, December 27 - 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Friday, December 28 - 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Monday, December 31 - 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Tuesday, January 1 - Closed

E-Mail Notifications Enabled

Beginning October 1, 2007, e-mail notifications will be enabled for the PRISM system.
The PRISM system notifications will be sent to each user’s University of Pittsburgh e-mail address (username@pitt.edu). The University e-mail address is used for all official correspondence through electronic mail. If you are currently receiving e-mail at a different address, it is important to forward your University e-mail to that address. To forward your University e-mail, visit Accounts Management. Please click here for detailed instructions on forwarding University e-mail.
Notifications currently in the PRISM Worklist will also be sent to your University e-mail. FYI notifications, such as “Standard Purchase Order has been approved”, will be automatically closed once an e-mail is successfully sent. Notifications requiring a response, such as “Standard Purchase Order requires your approval”, will remain in the Worklist until appropriate action is taken. Please exit the system prior to 5:00 PM and do not attempt to re-enter until after 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 1, 2007. Your access will be terminated without notice at 5:00 PM on Friday and all processes (printing, faxing, reporting, data entry, etc.) must be completed and saved prior to that time. Any data not saved or processes that are not completed by 5:00 PM Friday will be lost.

Fiscal Year 07 Closing and Fiscal Year 08 Opening

In order to facilitate the processes which begin the closing of FY07 and the opening of FY08 within the PRISM System, it will be necessary to take the system off-line according to the schedule below.
From: 5:30 PM, Friday, June 29, 2007
To: 8:00 AM, Saturday, June 30, 2007
Please exit the system prior to 5:30 PM and do not attempt to re-enter until after 8:00 AM on Saturday, June 30, 2007. Your access will be terminated without notice at 5:30 PM Friday and all processes (printing, faxing, reporting, data entry, etc.) must be completed and saved prior to that time. Any data not saved or processes that are not completed by 5:30 PM Friday will be lost.
REMINDER:
As of June 30, 2007, if you are entering GL transactions for the JUN-07 period, you MUST change the default period from JUL-07 to JUN-07.
