The University of Pittsburgh Purchasing Department is pleased to announce a new agreement with Verizon Wireless for wireless services and equipment. This agreement provides a 17% discount on monthly access plans over $35 for both University departments and employee subscribers. The agreement also provides equipment discounts and a 25% discount on accessories when purchasing from the Verizon Wireless/University of Pittsburgh Web site.

Verizon Wireless retail stores currently DO NOT support the discount program.

University of Pittsburgh employees with existing Verizon Wireless service can log on to the Verizon Wireless Web site at www.verizonwireless.com/getdiscounts and select the link " I do not have a work email address”, and complete as requested to have the 17% access fee discount applied to their account.

University departments should follow the instructions listed on the Computing Services and Systems Development Telecommunications Web site at  CSSD technology
