Minimum Insurance Requirements

These guidelines are for Third Party
Use of University Facilities and/or Contractual Agreements.
These requirements outline specific minimum insurance coverage
and require the non-University
entity to provide evidence the following requirements have been met.
Commercial General Liability*
- $1,000,000 Each Occurrence
- $2,000,000 General Aggregate
- $1,000,000 Products/Completed
Operations
- $1,000,000 Personal &Advertising Injury
- $100,000 Fire Damage
(any one fire)
- $10,000 Medical Expense(any one person)
Automobile Liability
$1,000,000 Combined Single Limit for Bodily Injury
and Property Damage per Accident.
Coverage to include hired car and non-owned automobiles.

Workers' Compensation
Statutory.
Employer's Liability
- $1,000,000 Each Accident
- $1,000,000 Disease-Policy Limit
- $1,000,000 Disease-Each Employee
Including coverage for but not limited to contractual, products,
broad form property damage, personal injury, host liquor, and independent
service providers/contractors liability.
AND
Request that the University of Pittsburgh of the Commonwealth System
of Higher Education be named as an additional insured (general and
umbrella/excess liability) with respect to the use of the University's
premises as agreed to by the University.
Certificate Of Insurance
Require a certificate of insurance evidencing all
insurance coverage
stated above. Each certificate must include a description of services
and dates of the event or contract. The insurance carrier's A.M. Best Rating should be evidenced on the certificate. In addition to a copy held by the responsible purchasing entity, a copy of the certificate of insurance
should be sent two (2)
weeks prior to the event to:
