Entrance / Exit Counseling

Federal and Institutional Loan Programs

Before the University can credit loan funds from Perkins, Nursing, Health Professions, and Institutional Loans such as the Mulert Loan Fund, to your student account you are required to complete an Entrance Interview and electronically sign a Master Promissory Note.

When leaving the University students are required to complete an Exit Interview for Perkins, Nursing, Health Professions, and Institutional Loans such as the Mulert Loan Fund.

Stafford Loans

First time borrowers of Stafford Loans must complete Entrance Counseling before loan funds can be applied to student accounts. Funds for the Stafford loan are received electronically and will not be released to the University until your Entrance Counseling is completed.

When leaving the University of Pittsburgh students are required to participate in Exit Counseling with PHEAA.
