Third Party Billing

The University will bill third parties for the tuition and fees of their sponsored students. The third party must provide the University with a billing authorization letter stating the terms and conditions of their sponsorship. Authorization letters are maintained on file.
  • Sponsored students must request a third party billing each time they receive a University billing statement.
  • Requests may be made by mail or in person.
    • Mail billing authorization letter to:

    University of Pittsburgh

    Student Accounting & Billing

    100 Thackeray Hall

    Pittsburgh, PA 15260

    • Requests may be made by providing documentation in person in G-7 Thackeray Hall.

Payments not received from the third party will become the student's responsibility. Late payment fees will be assessed the student if the charges remain unpaid. Charges not covered by the third party are due and payable by the student before the third party bill is generated.
